A year ago I started out on a personal journey. My goal was to document a family for a year of their life.
Just doing what they do.
Just being who they are.
I needed to do this. I wanted to see if I could make the ordinary seem extraordinary. Find the beauty in the chaos and the magic of the every day. I didn’t want a home that was filled with light, or always perfectly prepared. Many times I would arrive at my family’s home and the sink would be full of dishes, or the laundry making itself apparent. Toys in the corners and children still in their pyjamas with breakfast on their face. It was perfect.
I want to thank the Cimbur’s for letting me in. For opening up and being raw and real and ready. I can’t wait for you to see all of your finished images and I hope that you enjoy looking back on this year of your life. Your trip around the sun with me.
