Newborn photography is truly an art. Those curly, sleepy and peaceful newborn portraits are gorgeous and serene, but they are not easy to come by. They require patience and they require skill. While I was quite happy to be getting into newborn photography myself, I knew it was an area where it was important to receive some additional training so that I could learn the proper techniques to handling, posing and soothing these tiny little clients.
I was so excited when I found out that amazing newborn photographer Robin Long was going to be coming to Toronto! As soon as I heard the news I booked into her workshop right away so that I could be confident in knowing that I was learning from an experienced “baby whisperer”.
The one day workshop was hosted by Stephanie Webster in her home and I got to experience the day alongside a number of other fellow photographers who were also eager to learn about the art of photographing newborn babies.
I am so grateful to Robin for all of the help and advice that she offered and I was able to put some of my newfound skills to the test when I did some newborn twin photos earlier this week.
I really feel that the workshop was what I needed to push me a little closer to becoming a better newborn photographer!
I’d love to put my new found knowledge to work on your little one so if you’d like to book a session please contact me today!
Without further ado – our perfect little models….
